Around Campus
The Elapsing Cities Five EMU student models stood still as their airbrushed bodies told a story: global climate change is producing a loss of Arctic sea ice, which results in rising sea levels. EMU student artist Nicholas McFadden-Keesling decided to use humans as his canvas when he realized that it gives the audience a deeper connection to the message being delivered. Audiences were able to see his creation for the EMU Arts Administration program and the AMP! Student Organization after he spent two and a half hours completing the faces. Titled, “The Elapsing Cities,” McFadden-Keesling hoped to leave viewers with one word in mind: change.
