“The Morning Raga”
As a nature lover, I always want to capture things that I feel are beautiful and picturesque. I took this picture with my iPhone near the Student Center on a bright spring morning as my sister and I were on our way to our jobs on campus. “The Morning Raga” portrays the beautiful sunrays falling on the dewdrops dangling from the green grass, which is swaying in a rhythm. “Raga” means color or passion in Sanskrit. It also means tune or melody according to the classical music of India.
It is a terrific sight that makes you forget everything, brings a smile to your face, asks you to close your eyes, and makes your soul dance to the silent symphony of nature. One more interesting thing you may like to know—the meaning of my name “Neeharika” is “dewdrop.”
