Lorenzo M. Neely Sport: Basketball


Graduating Class: 1991


The four-year starting point guard led EMU to two NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 berth in 1991. He was First Team All-MAC three times.


Allyson Newman Sport: Gymnastics


Graduating Class: 1994


Won the MAC All-Around title in both 1991 and 1992, set several school records, and teamed with Robin Loheide to give EMU two of the best gymnasts in the MAC.


Fred LaPlante


Sports: Cross Country, Track Graduating Class: 1972


He earned All-American honors and helped lead EMU to the 1972 NCAA National Championship in Outdoor Track before becoming a successful Division I head coach.
