From the Field: Grand Canyon (Ariz.) Chapter The Grand Canyon Chapter (www
.moaa.org/chapter/grandcanyon) just completed its sixth year working with the local VA Supported Housing Program to assist formerly homeless veterans in the Greater Flagstaff area reintegrating into the community. According to chapter President
Lt. Col. Steve Jarvis, USA (Ret), the chapter’s Veteran’s Fund has provided more than $14,000 to area veterans and their families since its inception, with $5,000 being distributed via gift and grocery cards to 26 veterans dur- ing the 2016 holiday season.
Greater Cleveland Chapter The Greater Cleveland Chap- ter (
www.moaa.org/chapter/ greatercleveland) recently presented a $200 check to sponsor the J.F. Rhodes Navy Junior ROTC (JROTC) drill meet. With a chapter contri- bution of $700 and a $300 MOAA/USAA grant, this was one of five local JROTC drill meets the chapter supported. The chapter also awards an annual $1,000 scholarship to an outstanding JROTC cadet.

Northeast Louisiana Chapter Members of the Northeast Louisi- ana Chapter (

During the ceremony, each law-enforcement agency received an appreciation plaque as a thank-you for its service to the community, and the veterans’ groups pledged their continued support of local law enforcement.
