The MOAA Scholarship Fund was established in 1948 to further the education of children of service personnel. Incorporated in 1993 as a separate organization, the Schol- arship Fund was approved as a nonprofi t, public charity by the IRS in 2003. MOAA pays all administrative costs of operating the fund, so 100 percent of contributions the Scholarship Fund receives go to educating students. In the past 68 years, our donors have helped more than 14,000 children from military families pursue their undergradu- ate educations. Today, graduates are serving in the military, researching cancer and other diseases, teaching in schools and universities, succeeding in business and engineering, holding public offi ce, performing in symphonies and the- aters, and contributing to communities nationwide.
