Soy Wonder

Tofu, made from soy- bean curds, is a low- calorie, gluten- and cholesterol-free source of protein, iron, and cal- cium. In fact, soy, unlike most plants, is a com- plete source of dietary protein containing es- sential amino acids. Tofu also contains a

variety of bioactive com- ponents, which studies indicate might have health benefits, including lower- ing the risks of obesity, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, and age- related brain diseases. Browse the internet and

master several tasty tofu recipes to serve at least once a week or when enter- taining vegetarian friends. — Marilyn Pribus

TRICAREUPDA+E

ON MAY 1, THE TRICARE DENTAL PROGRAM (TDP) contract will transition from MetLife to United Concordia and will further expand benefits for active duty family members and National Guard and Reserve members and their families. Military retirees and their families will continue to have coverage through Delta Dental under the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program. Under the new contract, TDP beneficiaries will see a $200 increase in their annual maximum ben-

efit, lower monthly premiums, and increased cover- age for preventive services. Beneficiaries should check whether their preferred

dental provider accepts United Concordia TRICARE plans to avoid paying out-of-pocket fees. To learn more about dental coverage through TDP, visit www.bit.ly/2k35log.
