PERFECT PROFILE
Beam profiling is an invaluable tool for alignment, intensity monitoring, and uniformity measurements in any laser application. Though beam profiling is often overlooked, the beam profilers available today have a wide range of capabilities well beyond just measuring beam dimensions and location. Edmund Optics offers two options to meet beam profiling needs. With a large area sensor for a wide range of laser beam sizes, the Edmund Optics beam profiler includes intuitive software, an external trigger for synchronising a camera, and high resolution for profiling small beams. The Coherent Lasercam beam profiler features a high dynamic range and sensitivity, making it an excellent choice for beam analysis functions ranging from measuring pointing stability to ellipticity to peak power or energy density of the beam. The easy integration of the included software for both beam profilers makes it simple to measure beam location, beam density, uniformity, and dimensional measurements for both CW and pulsed lasers.

Laser Lines has partnered with Haas LTI to offer its laser beam analyser system in the UK and Ireland. This enables real-time laser beam measurement, analysis and monitoring of a wide range of lasers from multi-kW CW to high-energy ultrafast lasers.
The system utilises a patented etalon design, meaning it contains no moving components
The Ophir SP928 family of high-resolution laser beam profiling cameras accurately capture and analyse wavelengths from UV to far IR: SP928 for 190-1,100nm and SP928- 1550 for 1,440-1,605nm. The cameras feature a compact design, wide dynamic range, unparalleled signal to noise ratio, and built-in pre-triggering circuitry that makes them ideal for measuring CW and pulsed laser profiles. The cameras include BeamGage beam
profiling software that provides more than 55 quantitative measurements based on UltraCal, Ophir’s patented baseline correction algorithm that helped establish the ISO 11146-3 standard for beam measurement accuracy. BeamGage, available in standard and professional versions, also supports
custom calculations, multiple strip charting options, and pass/fail password protection for production testing.

A round up of the latest products for ensuring the ideal laser
beam delivery
and provides instantaneous M2 measurements and analysis of the laser beam and all active optical elements. It is fully modular to suit all laser setups and monitoring requirements, and includes software, sensors and any attenuation modules and filters necessary. In every laser application, the beam profile
provides valuable information. By monitoring the laser beam’s spatial profile, beam waist position, Rayleigh length, circularity, centroid, astigmatism and M2 values, users have early warning of any problems with the laser and beam delivery system.
