PRODUCT UPDATE Analysis, test and measurement AQ6376 optical spectrum analyser WaveMaster
The WaveMaster UST is a wavefront measurement system which automatically measures the entire field of bi-telecentric lenses at multiple wavelengths. Field sizes of greater than 70 x 45mm² can be measured on the object side, and greater than 100 x 100mm² on the image side. The lenses themselves can weigh up to 300kg. The system’s high degree of automation enables measurement in the entire field, which shortens measurement time and rules out operating errors almost entirely. Various field positions on the object side are approached during the measurement, and the wavefront sensor is positioned accordingly on the image side. The imaging unit s is a Shack- Hartmann sensor equipped with imaging optics customised for bi-telecentric lenses.

IDS and FPS
Attocube’s interferometric displacement sensors IDS and FPS (offering 1pm resolution and 10MHz bandwidth) are now available with new sensor heads. The D12/F2.8 is designed for highly sensitive surface measurements offering a spot size of 2μm at a working distance of 2.8mm. Due to its sophisticated design, the M12/C7.6 eliminates signal intensity peaks even over large distances of up to 5m, and is therefore ideal for long range measurements. The company has also released the ECU
(Environmental Compensation Unit), the first interferometer compensation unit providing fully automated air refractive index correction down to the sub parts-per-million range. When connected to the IDS interferometer, the ECU automatically detects the absolute sensor/target separation, calculates the actual air refractive index, and compensates any incremental measurement.

Microscopy FB201 block
Prior Scientific has announced the FB201 co-axial coarse and fine focusing block, designed for OEM microscopy applications where precise fine focus adjustment is required.
Rack and pinion mounting allows the FB201 to produce smooth, precise focusing over 29mm of travel. A large coarse focus mechanism incorporates
36 ELECTRO OPTICS l MARCH 2016
Yokogawa has launched its AQ6376 Optical Spectrum Analyser (OSA), for measuring signals with a wavelength beyond 3µm, designed to operate in the short-wavelength infrared (SWIR) as well as in the mid-wavelength infrared (MWIR) regions. The new analyser covers wavelengths from 1,500nm to 3,400nm. It uses an advanced monochromator design that helps to separate spectral signals in close proximity to one another, and improves the dynamic range by reducing the influence of stray light. The AQ6376 is aimed specifically at the needs of academic researchers and optical device
Mantis imaging colorimeter/ photometer
G&H Instruments’ Mantis imaging colorimeter/photometer delivers ultra-fast high resolution spatially resolved measurements of luminance,
S Lynx surface profiler
Sensofar Metrology has released a new high- resolution non-contact 3D surface profiler in a more compact format – the S Lynx. Despite the compact format, the S Lynx still uses Sensofar’s three-in-one technology approach, namely the integration of confocal, interferometry and focus variation techniques into the same sensor head. This approach translates into unparalleled surface measurement versatility over differing textures, structures, roughness, and waviness, all across varying surface scales. The S Lynx now provides this
SPD_OEM_NIR module
Aurea Technology has launched the SPD_OEM_ NIR, the first continuous and gated modes near-infrared [900nm-1,700nm] single photon counting module, based on Geiger-mode SPAD. The SPD_OEM_NIR performs asynchronous and synchronous photon detection with ultra-
manufacturers with their own in-company laboratories, active in environmental monitoring and
biomedical industries. Its capacity to handle wavelengths of up to 3.4µm is matched by high measurement speeds of up to 0.5 sec/100nm, simple set-up, and easy operational features (for example, a data-logging function for recording analysis results such as multi-peak measurements at up to 10,000 points per channel with time stamps which can be displayed in table and graphical formats.)

same performance capability in a smaller footprint. The S Lynx comes equipped with a white LED light source, a high-resolution camera and an encoded nosepiece for interchangeable objectives. There are no moving parts in the sensor head, thus improving stability, repeatability and ensuring a very long lifetime with no maintenance.

low-noise DCR <1.000 cps and high photon detection efficiency up to 30 per cent, and up to 120MHz trigger rate with very fast timing resolution of 150ps. Easy-to-use graphical user interface and DLL libraries for LabView are also provided.

a slip clutch and tension adjustment. Fine focus adjustment control is graduated in two micron divisions throughout the coarse focus range. The focus block can easily be adapted to various mounting configurations and can support up to 5kg. The company has also released the Pro Z, a motorised microscope stand offering a travel range of 254mm and fine resolution control (0.25µm).
High quality encoders on the Pro Z ensure the very best in accuracy and reliability. Benefiting from a 508 x 508mm base, the Pro Z provides a stable platform to view large samples which are normally difficult to mount under conventional microscope systems.
