ANNUAL MEMBERS MEETING
THE Federation will be holding its Annual Members Meeting at the CASA Hotel in Chesterfield, Derbyshire on Sunday 9th July 2017. Registration will be at
10.00 am followed by the AGM at 10.30 am which will include the adoption of Accounts and Annual Report and appointments for 2017-18. Following coffee at
around 11.30 am, there will be a presentation on behalf of the Ladies Section until lunch at 12.30 pm. Tis will be followed in the aſternoon with a Butchers’ Forum and presentations to which all members are encouraged to bring guests. Te aſternoon will conclude with tea at 4.00pm.
NOTICES OF MOTION Notices of Motion (NOM) for the AGM must be about the business of the Federation as a company and must

be submitted in writing to Headquarters no later than Tuesday 23rd May 2017. NOMs can be submitted
by the Executive Council or by any group of not less than 10 current Full members of the Federation and each motion must bear the names and signatures of at least 10 full members who may, but do not have to belong to a local Association.
EXECUTIVE COUNCIL To maintain its status as the only organisation in the UK to offer the degree of expertise, breadth of representation, depth of services and support to and on behalf of the craſt butcher and independent meat trade. It is essential that the NFMFT continues to have a board of directors with practical experience to formulate and oversee the implementation of policy on behalf of its members. Due to recent retirements
from the Council, other members are invited to apply. Application forms are now
available to any fully paid up Full Member of the NFMFT or their representative, below the age of 70 years on the date of the AGM, wishing to stand for election to the Executive Council by emailing roger@nfmſ

is the last date for receipt of applications at Headquarters to the Executive Council. In an electoral area where a seat or seats are to be contested, ballot papers will be posted to members by the 6th June to be returned to Auditors by the 27th June so that results may be declared at the AGM on 9th July 2017. printed in the June 2017 issue of Craſt Butcher and will be available together with the Federation’s 2016 accounts and Executive Council Report from Wednesday 28th June 2017. n
