EXECUTIVE HIRE SHOW REVIEW

“Networking at its best!”

EHN talked to hirers as they did business at Show 10 and found that, for many, it was the best yet.

Nigel Strickland of Brandon Hire.

In my role it’s critical to

have close relationships with suppliers and the Show gives me the opportunity to catch up with many of them in a more informal environment, which is invaluable. Also, it’s important to step outside your own world and see what’s going on in the industry as a whole. As always, I was impressed with the level of innovation and product development, particularly on the Health & Safety front. It’s easy to forget that

we are part of a dynamic industry, but the Show helps

to remind you that tool hire is forward-thinking, and that the changes we are continuing to make are having a positive impact on the way people work.

We feel it is important to investigate new products coming to the market, and the Show offers the opportunity for exactly that. It has certainly grown since our first visit, when we attended to support a few existing suppliers. It gives us a chance to view the latest ideas instead of thumbing through a catalogue or browsing on a website, and to discuss potential requirements in person.

During our visit we finalised the purchase of additional Geda equipment from Mace, and, as a member of CPA, we had the opportunity to discuss issues faced by many hirers in depth with the team. Networking at its best!

Jim Longstaff, Chairman/Owner, Clements Plant.

The Executive

Hire Show is the best opportunity to meet suppliers and catch up with other hirers from around the UK. The variety of exhibitors and the wide selection of products make it the premier Show to attend. This year’s

Show is the best ever and we have made some interesting

contacts for the future growth of our product portfolio. We’ll definitely be back next year.

Kennards Hire of Australia, were represented by Chief Operations Officer Bill Whitehouse (left), CEO Liz Ward, and General Manger Darren Simmons.

The Show provides us with the opportunity to view new

products and innovative ideas originating from Europe, which we can evaluate and introduce into our business, including items we had not seen before from manufacturers such as Hilti and Hook-Up Solutions, as well as the powered hand truck from Morris Site Machinery - which was invented in Australia. The suppliers should be congratulated for their time and effort in helping make the Show a success, and Kennards look forward to visiting next year.

” Steve Palmer, (centre) MSC Engineering Director UK, Speedy Services.

Great Show, great people, great products. What I really enjoy is that this Show brings passionate people from our hire industry and our innovative suppliers together for two days, where we can discuss products, innovation, training and future opportunities. Where else can you get to spend quality time with quality people in one location? Once again, the Show was a great success and the ‘banter’ between friends and foe was relentless…. what a fantastic industry we all work in!
