Visitors will be able to see a wide range of lifting equipment at the Vertikal Days event in May, which is being held at a new venue.
Vertikal Days, the popular event for the lifting and powered access machinery industry, has moved to a new venue at the Silverstone F1 complex near Towcester, Northamptonshire. This is to provide more space and additional facilities than were available at its former location in Haydock. The event has also been able to revert to its traditional timing, with this year’s dates being Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 May.
JCB will show models from its new access machinery range.
Silverstone describes itself as the home of British motor racing and the venue typically handles approximately 100,000 visitors for the British F1 Grand Prix and Moto GP. While the organisers of Vertikal Days do not
anticipate quite that level of attendance, they are confident that there will be plenty on display to interest hire professionals.
A number of new products are being launched at the event from manufacturers and from component and ancillary service providers. JCB will show a range of models from its recently introduced range of scissor lifts, including the S1930, S2632, S4046 and S4550, while Versalift will display its new 17m VDT170-F platform mounted on a 5-tonne Mercedes Sprinter chassis. Teupen’s machinery line-up will include the 35m Leo35T spider lift, and the Skyjack stand will see the UK launch of the SJ85AJ articulating boom, which offers a maximum working height of 27.91m.
Visitors can expect to see several new spider lift machines on display. Leguan, the sister company of Avant Tecno, will highlight a new 19m model, designated the 190, while Hinowa will unveil its 13.70 unit. In addition, Manitou's access division will promote its 100VJR vertical mast platform as well as the Man'Go 12 platform, a lightweight 12m access platform designed for manoeuvrability and easy transportation, and said to combine the attributes of both articulated and telescopic machines.
From the telescopic handler market, JCB will bring its 540-180 and 525-60 models, while GT Lifting Solutions will show the latest machines from Magni and Merlo. JLG is also expected to announce changes to its European telescopic handler programme during the event.
Other exhibitors, both in the outside exhibition space and inside the covered Marketplace pavilion, will include A-Plant, CPA, GGR, GT Trax, Hird, inspHire, Jaama, Kranlyft, Niftylift, Point of Rental Software/Syrinx, Probst, Russon Access,
Safety-Lifting.com, Shawtrack Services and Snorkel UK. Several seminars and workshops addressing current topics relevant to lifting and access equipment users will also take place.
The traditional Vertikal Days networking event will take place on the evening of the first day, and this year it will be held in the Silverstone Wing conference and event facility that is located above the pit garages, offering panoramic views of the circuit.
Admission to Vertikal Days is free to professionals and buyers working in the lifting and access machinery industries, and tea, coffee and light refreshments are served on a complimentary basis throughout the two days. Lunch is also provided and is served in the Dining Pavilion, which includes the traditional hog roast that is an established fixture of the event, as well as a barbecue and a sandwich bar. The event opens at 10am on both days, and to register visit
