“You really don’t need an expensive camera to capture the best shots. The winter picture of my dog in my local park was taken on a standard Blackberry mobile phone. So were the shots of Glencoe and Glenshee.”

Scotland, for him, has a rare natural beauty. Even with a small camera or phone he gets great results without using

special effects or high res finishes for his private collection. It’s in the immediacy of the image that he’s most interested in.

What’s his favourite photograph? He grins: “That’s easy. It’s always my next one.”
