ROUND UP Boost for leading industry rt Buildings and Contro T
his year’s Smart Buildings & Controls Show has received a major boost, after the author of a leading energy management publication confirmed he would present the paper live at the event this October.
Dr. Andy Lewry, who authored the energy management briefing paper for BRE and the Energy Services and Technology Association (ESTA), will give the live presentation. The publication aims to simplify the operational aspects of energy management and building controls. Dr. Lewry wants to encourage uptake of the technologies so that building owners and occupiers can benefit from better indoor
environments that promote well-being, which are more carbon efficient and have reduced energy costs.
Andy says: “The Smart Buildings & Controls Show gives a portal into the current world of controls and a vis ion of the future in terms of smart cities. Today controls are one of the most effective ways of reducing energy usage in the built environment and that will be embedded in our society in the near future, as technology enables smart cities to become a reality.
“I am delighted to be able to present to such a wide ranging audience to encourage them to select the right technology for controlling their buildings to ensure a better and cheaper working environment.”
From its straight forward title ‘Energy
Management & Building Controls’ to its simple explanations of the available, the paper

The Smart Buildings & Controls Show is the only UK exhibition dedicated to the building controls industry, providing a focussed event that showcases new product development and technical innovation in smart buildings, controls and energy management.
Now in its sixth year and taking place at the prestigious Sandown Park Racecourse in Esher, Surrey on 19 & 20 October, the show has a number of new elements added which will further expand and develop this key industry trade show.
In addition to a focused exhibition of the latest products and technology from leading names i n the industry, highlights include a technical seminar programme that will include
