u ch is made of space being an issue that contractors have to overcome when installing HVAC equipment
into cramped plant rooms and the difficulties they face when moving cumbersome equipment frompoint A to point B. So it stands to reason that manufacturers are always trying to find new ways to design equipment to reduce the footprint. After all keeping installers happy can only be good for business.
There are many fine examples of the strides being made to meet this challenge, one of which you’ve no doubt read all about in our pages in the last couple of months from Remeha.
The company has come up with a new design for it Gas 220 Ace condensing boiler,
r,which they describe asmaking a giant leap in
space saving thanks to its monobloc (moulded from one piece of aluminium) heat exchanger. I understand the UK Remeha team has had a lot of input into this new boiler which is hardly surprising considering the UK hasmore than its fair share of hard to access plant rooms. HVR was lucky enough to visit the Remeha factory in the Netherlands last month to see how the boiler is put together and packaged. Read our feature on pg 22.
