consideration, particularly in relation to quality, performance and safety. Building contractors and suppliers need to understand the importance of ventilation, particularly in control and containment for atmosphere sensitive areas such as nuclear and pharmaceutical. and commissioning of HVAC systems in large scale projects, which either house a large number of people or are situated within potentially hazardous environments or landmark buildings, need to meet stringent safety standards to ensure people and facilities are safe. However, when specifying a HVAC
system, safety cannot be considered as a ‘one size fits all’ option. Projects are not only diverse but have
their own set of often unique characteristics. The pharmaceutical industry, as you would expect, requires exacting standards to be met, particularly in cleanrooms. An ultra-high purity level of pipework, which is delivered in accordance with stringent quality assurance standards for the design, material selection, welding, fabrication and installation stages is needed.
