nergy effi ciency is one of the primary concerns for new adopters of humidity control. Rising energy prices mean specifi ers and contractors have been especially
keen to adopt lower energy units that don’t compromise on performance. The expanded focus on green technology and climate change has highlighted the importance of indoor environment control, not only for comfort but as a signifi cant factor in personnel and process effi ciency. The Neptronic Multi-Steam is a Steam Distribution System that combines effi ciency and innovation through an optimised multi-steam lance design. Both models in the series address a key loss vector in steam humidifi cation – condensate. Precipitation of steam within humidifi cation systems is typically siphoned off as waste. This ‘waste’ water carries a signifi cant amount of thermal energy, having already reached its evaporation point early in the process. Having already reached evaporation point, this water is close to sterile, carrying only the impurities it makes contact with after condensing. The Multi-Steam series feeds that energy and sterile water back into the production cycle, allowing passive recycling without any additional user intervention or impacting useability, reducing energy and water waste.
The Multi-Steam SD features distributor channels evenly spaced across the length of the duct or air handler to maximise steam surface area and eff ective air mixing while lowering absorption distances. As each unit is custom-made

for the duct or AHU users can rest assured of a perfect fi t. Brass steam injector nozzles are installed in each channel at staggered intervals, preventing any face-to-face steam injections from the opposite side of the lance. Both models come with X-Stream technology, high
effi ciency insulated steam injector eyelets which feature an internal slope which prevent condensed droplets from entering the airfl ow and causing rust or corrosion along the duct or to surrounding equipment. Instead, this condensate

is siphoned back into the channel. This passive design technology is ‘always on’ and shows its eff ectiveness under circumstances that have formerly challenged models in the industry, such during the start-up cycle and navigating changes in operational settings. The advanced model, the Multi-Steam HD, improves on these features by insulating and double walling channels and lances, cutting thermal energy loss signifi cantly. The HD model uses fungal and bacterial-resistant Armacell UT/Isofl ex foam, also rated for fl ame spread and smoke
