Carrier

Carrier has introduced a new line of high temperature and very high temperature heat pumps for use in industrial, commercial and public buildings and district heating. Designed to reduce both carbon emissions and energy costs, the new line consists of AquaForceand AquaSnap air and water source heat pumps with varying capacities from 30 to 735 kW and water temperatures from 82°C to 120°C with low GWP HFO refrigerants. The high temperatures enable the heat pumps to replace fossil fuel boilers in heating applications such as apartment blocks and residential estates, commercial buildings, food manufacturing, industrial drying, biogas production and chemical plants. In addition to harnessing heat from ambient air and the

ground, the heat pumps capture wasted heat from a wide range of sources, including data centres, leisure facilities, hotels and restaurants, process water, fl ue gases and sewage systems. Heat collected can be used for comfort heating and domestic hot water production in large buildings and facilities. The heat pumps can also be applied in industrial applications, and in district and local heating networks where high temperatures or very high temperatures are required. “The expansion of the AquaForce and AquaSnap ranges is a crucial step in delivering our commitment to support the European Green Deal and helping decarbonise the heating segment in Europe,” said Raff aele D’Alvise, Marketing and Communications Director, Europe Commercial HVAC, Carrier. “With a focus on high temperature, performance, reliability and effi ciency, these heat pumps are an excellent solution for customers looking to reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a more sustainable future by replacing or integrating with fossil fuel generators in hybrid systems.” The units come ready to connect to Abound, Carrier’s cloud- based digital platform that enables real-time, intelligent outcome-based results that make buildings more effi cient and responsive. To minimise operating costs, users can opt for one of Carrier’s BluEdgeservice options to keep heat pumps operating at peak performance and effi ciency throughout their lifecycle. This leads to predictive maintenance rather than preventive maintenance, saving time and money.  www.carrier.com/commercial/en/eu/products/heating/air-to- water-heat-pumps/61ca/

Sensibo

Fujitsu General Australia and Fujitsu General New Zealand have partnered with Sensibo to provide Smart Home air conditioning solutions. Sensibo is a leading climate technology Internet of Things company that develops smart AC and heat pump solutions, using data and Artifi cial Intelligence. The strategic partnership will further strengthen Fujitsu

General’s anywAiR technology product lineup through the integration of Sensibo’s technology into Fujitsu General’s air conditioners and heat pumps, allowing Fujitsu customers to control their devices from anywhere using Sensibo’s suite of mobile smart AC functions such as smart scheduling; geo- fencing; climate react; and voice control via Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant. Customers will also be able to take advantage of Sensibo’s machine-learning algorithms to help them conserve energy and enjoy greater comfort and control. Sensibo’s Operating System (OS) solution, which will be

integrated into Fujitsu General’s air conditioners under the anywAiR technology brand, is a premium end-to-end smart HVAC solution. Sensibo’s smart HVAC products allow users to control their ACs using AI, data, and sensors while leveraging cloud computing that processes more than 1.2 million HVAC actions a day. “The OEM (original equipment manufacturer) partnership between Fujitsu General and Sensibo is not only a major step for Fujitsu but also for the smart AC sector,” said Kyle Rafter, head of product ANZ, Fujitsu General. “We are excited to partner with Sensibo, a company that puts sustainability and technological innovation at the top of their agenda, which aligns with ours.” “Together with Fujitsu General, we were able to create an air conditioner that is diff erent from anything else that exists on the market. We cannot wait to see how Sensibo’s OS will diversify Fujitsu’s product capabilities and create a huge leap toward the relationship between technology, energy management, and climate control,” said Ran Roth, CEO and co-founder of Sensibo. “Smart air conditioners are the next innovation of the industry, with the potential to deliver a reduction in energy consumption and mitigate CO2

emissions. We are proud to partner with Fujitsu

General to empower users to use their air conditioning unit more effi ciently to contribute to protecting our planet.”  www.sensibo.com
