Panasonic Jet Air Stream keeps AirHop Gloucester cool

When AirHop, part of the Activeon Group, prepared to open its latest indoor adventure and trampoline park in Gloucester this summer, climate control was high on the priority list.

T

he new 25,000sqft venue, a high-ceilinged warehouse, required a reliable, energy- effi cient system to maintain visitor comfort

year-round without infl ating operating costs. The solution came in the form of seven Panasonic Jet Air Stream 25kW units, supplied and installed by Aura Air Conditioning, a trusted Panasonic Pro Partner. Jet Air Stream Smart models ensure optimal

comfort by preventing heat loss. Nozzle movements adapt dynamically to incoming air temperature, preventing stratifi cation and maintaining an ideal temperature exclusively in the occupied area. AirHop Gloucester’s grand opening on 11 July 2025 coincided with a 33°C heatwave, providing a real-world performance test for the new system from day one.

Dylan Southern, Projects Manager at AirHop, said: “The units were really put to the test during

our opening week in the extreme heat. We were impressed with their performance and the comfortable environment they maintained for visitors.” For Aura Air Conditioning, the choice was clear. The Panasonic Jet Air Stream indoor units off er high air distribution for large spaces such as sports halls, warehouses and industrial commercial spaces. Its smart jet self-directing nozzles off er ideal temperature control and maintenance to the specifi ed area. The units are customisable, coming in three variations and two capacities (14 and 25 kW), with the ability to be linked to an overarching BMS system. They provide an appropriate energy-saving solution, with a long maximum air throw distance of 30m and high air volume up to 5.000m³/h. The system’s sleek, unobtrusive design ensured it complemented AirHop’s interior without

compromising performance. With performance proven in challenging conditions, the Panasonic Jet Air Stream is fast becoming the preferred choice for large leisure and industrial spaces across the UK. https://www.aircon.Panasonic.eu

Carrier keeps hospitality cool

during BTCC weekend heatwave Carrier has delivered a high-performance temporary cooling solution for Laser Tools with MB Motorsport during Round Five of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) at Oulton Park.

W

ith temperatures soaring during one of the hottest weekends of the BTCC season, the Laser Tools with MB

Motorsport Racing team turned to Carrier to ensure guests at its premium hospitality tent remained cool and comfortable throughout the event. The weekend marked the latest activation in Carrier’s ongoing partnership with the team. To meet the challenge, Carrier, through Carrier Rental Systems, deployed a tailored cooling system centred around the CRS160 Heat Pump, a high-capacity, 160 kW unit designed for effi cient performance in large-scale environments. Inside the hospitality space, four Nykkus AHU20/40 air handling units were installed to provide stable airfl ow and consistent temperature control. “Providing comfort in such extreme conditions requires careful planning and robust technology,” said

Russell Boswell-Munday, Sales Director, Carrier Rental Systems UK&I. “Our CRS160 heat pump and Nykkus air handling units delivered exceptional performance, proving why Carrier is trusted for event cooling solutions.” Carrier’s team remained on-site throughout the day, closely monitoring and fi ne-tuning the system to

adapt to changing requirements. The solution quickly gained attention across the paddock, with other teams enquiring about how MB Motorsport maintained such a comfortable environment in the heat. “It was one of the hottest BTCC weekends we’ve had, but Carrier absolutely nailed it,” said Alex Watts, Managing Director, MB Motorsport. “The hospitality tent was the coolest place in the paddock and it was impressive to see how well the system held up under pressure. The team was professional, knowledgeable and totally focused on guest comfort.” The installation forms part of Carrier’s broader

collaboration with MB Motorsport, which began in 2023. With BTCC’s adoption of sustainable fuels from 2025, the team’s ethos aligns closely with Carrier’s innovation and sustainability goals. www.carrier.com/rental/en/uk
