For example, the government’s Future Homes Standard and Future Building Standard publications both include updates for Part F of the Building Regulations, which covers all aspects of specifying and designing ventilation systems, and gives guidance on installation, operation and maintenance.
Part L of the Building Regulations also calls for buildings to be more airtight and energy efficient than can be achieved with natural ventilation, and gives direction on the maximum amount of electricity than an air distribution system should use.
