Synapsys Solutions
SIP2 from Synapsys Solutions is a new hardware platform designed to provide an easy-to-use, low cost metering, field-bus or plant interface and/or data capture solution. The SIP2 hardware platform comes as standard with built in M-Bus, ModBus, Power over Ethernet PoE) and a digital input. The hardware has a small footprint, perfect for residential applications with the inclusion of PoE for when a standard power source is not an option. The multi-protocol hardware supports a maximum of four drivers per device (one instance of each driver), those drivers can include MQTT, REST, Synapsys ViQ and BIC and many more. SIP2 is available in 100, 300 and 600 point variants, ensuring users have a range of options available to suit the application. SIP2 hardware is easy to install and commission, with a small
footprint and access to Synapsys Solutions’ library of SIPeasy files, which can be easily converted using the company’s free to download SIPeasy conversion tool from the SIPintegrator support website.

Trane
Trane’s Flex2O range of water-cooled chillers and water source heat pumps with scroll technology provide year-round comfort and process cooling and/or heating efficiency. The Trane Flex20 water to water heat pump units meet the highest Ecodesign efficiency class A+++ and address the environmental and sustainability efforts in urban areas. The Flex20 chillers exceed mandatory seasonal efficiency thresholds (SEER) according to the EU Ecodesign Regulation for chillers. Combining performance with small footprint, the compact Flex20 are particularly suitable buildings with limited space and access. The modular design of the Flex20 allows combining up to six units managed by one FlexMaster controller to meet the building’s capacity and performance requirements. Key features of the new Trane Flex20 range include scalability up to 930 kW cooling or 1,100 kW heating capacity with six units combined with FlexMaster controller; large operating map to address specific design criteria of applications: chilled water temperatures between -7°C and +25°C and hot water temperatures up to +60°C; optimised for connection to HVAC systems based on air handling units, under floor heating, radiators or chilled beams.

Trace Software
Elec calc BIM is software that perfectly integrates the electrical calculation into the Open BIM process. This software is state of the art because: 1. One of the only Open BIM solution on the market. 2. A complementary and autonomous tool for the architecture software. 3. elec calc BIM adapts to the level of detail of your model: all project configurations will be manageable if all circuits have been marked in the model.
4. Automatic cable routing facilitates the creation of a cable list and guarantees the optimisation of lengths. It is possible to manage cable segregation and perform checks to validate the sizing of the cable trays.
5. elec calc BIM is the ideal tool to fit perfectly into the virtuous circle of BIM which is above all a collaborative work. Indeed, it is possible to manage project revisions and exchanges thanks to the BCF reports.
By using elec calc BIM, professionals can benefit from the latest in electrical calculation efficiency within the BIM process. A more rigorous and integrated design leads to lower construction costs, through less waste and the software allows improved risk management.

Unico Systems
Unico Systems’ small duct heating, cooling and ventilation system is now available in the UK. The Unico System, which is installed in half a million homes and businesses throughout the US, provides
both heating and cooling and is fully compatible with existing boiler systems, underfloor heating and heat pumps.
The decision to make the Unico System more widely available to UK residents follows a series of record-breaking summers, as well as increasing demand for greater climate control. The quiet system, which operates at under 30 decibels, uses aspiration to deliver draft free heating and cooling ensuring temperature differentials are no greater than one degree throughout the home. Hot and cool air is delivered via discrete ceiling, wall or floor outlets, eliminating the need for radiators.
Calvin Pope, commercial director at exclusive UK distributor Bell Plumbing Supplies, added: “One of the greatest benefits of the new Unico System is its compatibility with existing heating systems and smart controls.”
