Midea

Siemens

Midea has developed a UK Mi- Pro strategy to reward those who install Midea products correctly and take long term care of them. Periodically maintaining the products after a professional

installation will then not only offer the end user the lowest possible long-term running costs, but also significantly reduce the wear and tear of the equipment’s key components.

When adhered to correctly this can also offer an end user a warranty of up to 10 years, encouraging them to appoint the original installer to carry out regular maintenance.

To support this strategy Midea is giving maximum piping length refrigerant contributions at £25/Kg to all installers. Mi-Pro rewards are also given to incentivise those who deliver and register professional installations that secure long-term end user service agreements. This investment from Midea gives confidence that when equipment is installed professionally, commissioned with the correct refrigerant charge and taken care of responsibly, it is built to last and operate at its optimum efficiency.

Steve Robinson, general manager Midea UK, commented on the company’s success since their UK launch in 2017: “We have witnessed some fantastic success stories helping Midea become the fastest growing manufacturer of air conditioning products supplied into the UK. The Mi-Pro strategy we introduced in 2017 is unique and constantly evolving in line with the market feedback we have from our partners. This is helping us find new ways of developing our brand.” “The core purpose of our strategy will not change and that is to ensure the Mi Pro incentive for our partners and the end user delivers the best possible long-term care of our products.”

Fri-Jado UK claims its new range of chilled Custom Counters are some of the most sustainable products of their type. The Custom Counters incorporate Fri-Jado’s OmniCold refrigeration system. A low velocity air flow of approximately 120 m3/h/m circulates above and below the food. Refrigerated air circulated across the product deck chills products from below, whilst slots in the deck allow air to escape to the top. An air outlet grille creates an air flow which reduces turbulence and therefore mitigates the infiltration of ambient air. Efficient LED lighting, DC fans, triple pane insulated side glass and a fully insulated shell have also been incorporated. The Custom Counters have been designed to operate efficiently with wide range of energy efficient, future-proof refrigerants with low global warming potential (GWP). Refrigerant options offered for include R744/CO2, R455A and glycol for remote systems and R1234yf for integral systems. OmniCold, with its low velocity air circulation, delivers accurate holding temperatures, reducing the rate of growth of pathogens and spoilage organisms, whilst slowing down physiological, biochemical and physical processes within food. www.frijado.co.uk

Siemens’ energy management solution holistically captures energy data in buildings. It collects data without any additional wiring or space requirements. All electrical data can be seamlessly integrated into building management systems (BMS) and analysed by cloud-based applications. The 5SL6 miniature circuit breakers and 5SV6 arc fault detection devices bring digitalisation to electrical installations. They combine overload, short circuit and arc fault protection with integrated communication and measuring functions in just one modular width. All the data can be visualized on a PC, tablet or smartphone and connected to analytics tools and digital environments through the new 7KN Powercenter 1000 gateway. The Sentron ‘powermanager’ software consolidates building and energy management in one platform. Version 4.x can be used as a stand-alone software or can be integrated into the Siemens Desigo CC BMS as an expansion module. Integration in Desigo CC enables regression analyses. The Sentron ‘powermind’ app analyses energy data directly in MindSphere, the cloud-based, open Internet of Things operating system from Siemens. Users see a real-time overview of current energy consumption and trends over time.
