People on the move Clivet UK appoints Hillier as MD

livet UK has appointed Nigel Hillier as General Manager as the company strengthens its position in the commercial and residential HVACR sectors.


Hillier, who brings extensive industry experience, will oversee the growth of


Clivet’s applied systems, air conditioning and heat pump portfolio, as well as support further expansion into the consultant specifi cation market. Speaking on his appointment, Hillier said he was joining the business at a pivotal moment for both Clivet and the wider sector, noting the rapid evolution of the UK heat pump and HVAC market and the opportunities this presents. He highlighted Clivet’s product range, service capability and long- term commitment to investment as key strengths, adding that he looked forward to leading the UK team through its next phase of development. Clivet said the appointment underlines its continued investment in people and its focus on strengthening UK operations to support customers in a fast- moving renewable heating and HVAC landscape.

-engineering Group has expanded its senior team as part of a wider plan to scale the business following a period of investment and restructuring.


The Warrington-based technical building services


provider has created four divisional head roles covering service and maintenance, projects, electrical and air conditioning. Scott Sharples becomes head of projects and Luke O’Keeff e steps up to lead service and maintenance, while James Coote and Craig McLachlan continue in their respective electrical and air conditioning posts. Each division now has a dedicated technical manager. Janusz Heenan has been promoted to support the service and maintenance operation, with Jim Doyle, Dave Hayes and Keith Kirk joining the business to take on technical management roles across projects, electrical and air conditioning. The restructure follows a £500,000 investment in new


fl eet vans, the opening of a head offi ce at Olympic Park in Birchwood and the addition of a 6,000 sq ft fabrication workshop near Warrington town centre. Managing

ndustrial HVAC specialist adi Climate Systems has appointed Mike Sweet as its


new Managing Director. Sweet joined the company as Commercial Director in September and has since helped refi ne its growth strategy, strengthen client engagement and support expansion into new markets. In his new role, he will lead long-term planning and strategic direction in line with the wider adi Group vision. Outgoing Managing Director Mike Slattery will move into the role of Commercial Director, maintaining his involvement with key clients and early-stage commercial activity.


director Rob Ditchfi eld said the changes form part of a long-term plan to build capacity, standardise service delivery and create clearer progression routes for staff . Further recruitment is planned in the coming months, including commercial gas service engineers, pipefi tters and apprentices. The group strengthened its board last year with the appointment of experienced facilities management leader David O’Byrne as a non-executive director.


Paul Smith, CEO of adi Group, said Sweet had brought clarity and momentum to the business, highlighting opportunities to broaden work with existing customers, develop new sector relationships and increase the company’s strategic contribution across the Group. He added that Slattery’s continued involvement would ensure valuable continuity. He said his priorities would include expanding market presence, deepening client partnerships and maintaining a focus on technically robust, energy-effi cient HVAC solutions.
