Williams
Williams’ latest roll in blast chiller, the WTBC70, is designed to accept 20 rack GN1/1 combi oven trolleys. Now Williams has upgraded the unit to offer even more flexibility, since it can accept no less than three different types of trolley – including the model for the new Rational iCombi Pro. The WTBC70 blast chiller is the largest roll-in cabinet in the Williams range. As well as accepting the new Rational trolley (60.21.331.201), it can also accommodate Rational’s previous 201 version or the Lainox combi oven trolley. The new WTBC70 also features an upgraded latch handle that provides a robust, 100% tight seal, and adds to the security of the cabinet. The WTBC70 has the capacity to chill more food in a single batch
than many of its rivals, with a capacity of up to 70kg. The unit chills foods down to the designated holding temperature in 90 minutes or less, ensuring quality is preserved. Food can also enter the cabinet at 90°C, an added benefit when compared to some industry products that can only accept food at 70°C.

Panasonic
This winter, Panasonic has put together a package for installers purchasing its Panasonic Mini VRF and Chiller ranges between 1 November 2020 and 31 March 2021. installers will also receive Panasonic Premier Reward points for qualifying purchases and redeem them for Love2Shop rewards.

Hubbard Systems has launched XSafe, a new system that sanitises the insides of icemakers, destroying 99% of bacteria and viruses, including coronaviruses. The Covid-19 pandemic has raised the importance of keeping ice production equipment hygienically clean in order to fi ght the spread of infections. XSafe is a totally natural system which is fully integrated inside the ice machine. XSafe uses the natural disinfectant power of UV light to help keep the interior of ice machines in peak hygienic condition. The UV converts oxygen into ozone, then the ozone is converted into activated oxygen. This activated oxygen is blown throughout the interior of the ice machine, attacking a wide spectrum of contaminants, including germs and bacteria. It does this by destroying the bonds in the molecules of the contaminating material, making them harmless. UV systems have been used in icemakers in the past, typically by
putting a lightbulb in the storage bin – but that leaves anything covered by the ice untreated. The XSafe innovation is its use of an integrated unit that processes air constantly, pumping activated oxygen evenly throughout the interior. This means that XSafe sanitises the whole interior of the icemaker, as opposed to just the exposed surfaces – it’s even active under and throughout any accumulation of ice in the bin.
