Ormandy completes double acquisition

radford-based Ormandy Rycroft Engineering (Ormandy) has completed the acquisition of Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) solutions provider HRS Hevac Ltd (Hevac) and plates and gaskets supplier
HeatExchangerSpares.com (HES) from Canadian heat exchanger manufacturer Exchanger Industries Ltd (EIL). HES’ site in Watford (UK) will continue
operations while employees from its Elland (UK) facility will transfer to Ormandy’s manufacturing site, just under 12 miles away in Bradford.
David Dzimitrowicz, managing director of Ormandy, said: “Both Hevac and HES are established names in the HVAC industry, with strong reputations for supplying quality systems and spares for commercial and public buildings around the world. “The acquisitions expand our product range while allowing us to leverage the full potential of our manufacturing facility in Bradford. Both
Ormandy and HRS have excellent reputations for bespoke design and manufacturing for water-heating, -cooling and -storage solutions.”
Austen Adams, divisional managing director of Avingtrans PLC’s Process Solutions and Rotating Equipment division, which owns Ormandy, added: “We are delighted to have completed these acquisitions, which will to commercial and industrial customers around the world. “As a great British manufacturer, - and one of the only companies in the UK capable of manufacturing copper and copper-lined vessels - Ormandy enjoys a unique position in the acquisitions, we will not only be able to take greater control of the supply chain but can also release untapped potential in the market to further strengthen our position.”

Swegon buys British air handling

wegon is to acquire Dalair, the family-owned manufacturer of bespoke air handling units (AHU) based in Wednesbury just outside Birmingham.
Dalair is one of the AHU market leaders in the UK, with a highly regarded brand and offers air handling units in various segments covering commercial buildings, “With Swegon we see a continued successful journey for Dalair. We share the same focus on quality and aim to be a trusted and competent partner for our customers, forward to becoming a part of Swegon, which will enable us to strengthen our position in the UK even further,” said Glyn Moseley, founder of Dalair. Dalair, founded in 1981, has 150 employees, with amounted in 2021 to GBP 17 million.
