Carel appoints Marino Tanas as regional CEO for Western Europe
M
arino Tanas has joined Carel as the new regional CEO for Western Europe.
Tanas, who brings extensive
experience in leadership and management roles within the industry, will oversee Carel’s operations in its subsidiaries located in Italy, Spain, France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Nordic countries. He will report directly to the managing directors of these organisations, ensuring a unifi ed yet fl exible approach capable of delivering tailored and timely solutions to meet diverse customer needs.
The new organisational structure enables Carel to consolidate its role as a reliable partner, improving its proximity to and understanding of its customers. The goal is to harmonise regional strategies and capitalising on local specifi cs. Francesco Nalini, CEO of the Carel

Lek steps up at Johnson Controls J
ohnson Controls has named Richard Lek as vice president and president, Building Solutions
Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Latin America (EMEALA), eff ective today. In this role Lek will serve as a member of the Executive Committee and lead the execution of our go-to- market strategy in EMEALA, using customer and market insights to capture new growth opportunities, and will deliver superior customer experiences throughout the building lifecycle. Lek succeeds Marc Vandiepenbeeck, who continues to serve as executive vice president and chief fi nancial offi cer of Johnson Controls. “Richard brings a wealth of
experience to his new role, building on a successful decades-long career at Johnson Controls driving business results in Europe,” said Johnson Controls Chairman and
CEO George Oliver. “We’ve seen an improvement in our EMEALA segment as we have implemented our end-to-end operating model. I have every confi dence that he will continue the incredible progress we’ve experienced the past two years, which included a signifi cant improvement in profi tability.” Lek joined Johnson Controls more than 20 years ago and has deep knowledge of products, markets and customers, having held multiple roles across both the fi eld and Global Products businesses. Prior to taking this role, he served as vice president & general manager, Continental Europe, where he drove business growth with double digit return on sales, operational effi ciency improvements and positive performance metrics. “I have tremendous passion for Johnson Controls and take pride in

Bänninger welcomes Goodison to the team

evin Goodison has been appointed regional technical sales manager
(Midlands) by Conex Bänninger, the market leading global manufacturer of high-quality fi ttings, valves and accessories. He joins from Fraenkische
UK, producers of multi-layer composite pipe for plumbing, heating and underfl oor heating. Goodison, who has worked primarily within the HVAC sector for the past 25 years, will look to further develop existing installer and merchant relationships, as well as bring on new customers. Commenting on his new role, Goodison said: “I am delighted to have joined Conex Bänninger, a company renowned for innovation. Part of the appeal for me is its impressive heritage which goes back to 1909, as well as the culture which runs throughout the business. “The sector has seen major changes in recent years with a shift away from solder and brazing to press-fi t. Continuing to educate customers and installers on the benefi ts of press-fi t is a big part of the job. “Whilst the general market is a
