Copeland

Copeland has launched the Vilter VQ95 industrial heat pump to help customers reduce their carbon footprints. Copeland’s Vilter VQ95 heat pump is a single-stage heat pump designed to decarbonise district heating and industrial process heating applications, including food and beverage production.

Ambitious climate goals and initiatives to

reduce dependency on fossil fuel boilers are underway in many parts of the world, with leading companies worldwide making sustainability pledges that target the decarbonisation of plants and operations. As a result, the global industrial heat pump market (hardware) is forecast to grow exponentially over the next several years, and in energy-intensive industrial processes, the electrifi cation of heating systems is widely recognised as a necessary step. A new report published by McKinsey values the industrial heat pump market at $4 billion in 2023 and is estimated to reach $21 billion by 2030. Meeting sustainability targets and integrating industrial heat pump technology into existing facilities will require a simpler solution than the bespoke systems that have typically been built on-site. With the launch of the Vilter VQ95 industrial heat pump, Copeland adds a robust platform of scalable and confi gurable options to its industrial heating market portfolio. The system leverages Vilter single-screw technology to enable simplicity, performance, reliability and fl exibility using ammonia (NH3

) — a

natural refrigerant solution that has low global warming potential (GWP).

Because the heat delivered far exceeds the energy consumed, industrial heat pumps greatly reduce reliance on fossil fuels and expand opportunities to utilise renewable energy sources. Copeland’s Vilter VQ95 industrial heat pump system balances these characteristics with a compact footprint while maximising effi ciency and minimising total cost of ownership. The system is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly to

operate and maintain. The unit’s plug-and-play, modular design has fewer moving parts than multi-stage units and can often be serviced without removing the compressor from the system. Selection and confi guration are streamlined by Copeland’s web-based software tool, helping users meet their unique specifi cations.

Clivet

Clivet has expanded its range of heat pumps by introducing split hydronic solutions with the new hydronic modules Easytank, Easybox, Easyin and the super-compact Easymini. Clivet off ers a wide and articulated range of heat pumps for heating, cooling and domestic hot water production that meets the multiple needs of diff erent types of dwellings (newbuild or older buildings, where it is not possible to intervene on the envelope), including: ■ refrigerant-split heat pumps using R32 and available in cased, box, and uncased versions.

■packaged heat pumps with refrigerant R32, Edge EVO 2.0. ■ new packaged heat pumps with the natural refrigerant R290 (propane), Edge F and Edge Pro, which combine excellent thermo- dynamic properties with a very low environmental impact index (GWP = 3). This off ering is now enriched with hydro-split heat pumps, thanks to the introduction of the new hydronic modules Easytank, Easybox, Easyin and the super-compact Easymini. The combination with the monobloc heat pumps of the Edge family, both in the R32 and R290 versions, allows the hydro-split heat pumps to create water split systems (hydro-split) that make their application in the residential sector even simpler, more fl exible, safer and more ecological.

Easytank is a hydronic module for basement installation, complete with a 190 or 250-litre DHW storage tank. It includes a 12- litre system expansion tank, 15-litre inertial storage tank, magnetic defl ector fi lter and safety valves, anti-burn mixer and electronic anode.

Easybox is a compact hydronic unit for wall installation consisting of consisting of a 12-litre system expansion tank, 15-litre inertial storage tank, magnetic defl ector fi lter and safety valves and 3-way valve for DHW production. Easymini is a wall-mounted hydronic module complete with a 50-

litre DHW storage tank as well as an 8-litre system expansion tank, 15-litre inertial storage tank, magnetic defl ector fi lter and safety valves, 3-litre DHW expansion tank, anti-burn mixer and hydraulic separator with booster pump.
