Safety-Plus System Aquatechnik’s Safety-Plus system is a multi-layer composite pipe (MLCP) system with a PE-X/Al/PE-X composition. This means that the multi-calor pipe is a mixture of metal and plastic, enabling it to have diff erent characteristics compared to a single-material tube. ■Inner: cross-linked polyethylene layer (PE-Xb) ■Intermediate: adhesive layer (grafted PE maleic anhydride) ■Central: aluminium layer (Al) ■Intermediate: adhesive layer (grafted PE maleic anhydride) ■Outer: cross-linked polyethylene layer (PE-Xb) Due to the mixed characteristics of the plastic and metal layers, the system is fl exible and can be adapted around existing structures, making it the perfect system for retrofi t projects. The system also benefi ts from low corrosion resistance, surface roughness and high limescale resistance. In return, the fl uctuation of pressure is low compared to other methods.
