E-tec Interconnect (UK) Ltd manufactures a wide range of sockets and connectors. Many special sockets are produced using high temperature polyimide or FR4 material at E-tec’s facility in Tunbridge Wells, where 4 high speed CNC machines are capable of drilling wafers at a combined capacity of 40000 holes per hour. These are pinned according to customer requirements, allowing sockets to be produced with virtually zero profile or a high elevated profile, used for example with LED displays. By producing wafers on CNC machines E-tec are able to offer virtually any shape or size socket, including circular, rectangular, any pitch, and any height, only limited by the terminals available. Customers are invited to sketch a requirement of their ideal socket and E-tec will endeavour to create samples within a couple of days. Applications for these custom sockets include Image Sensors, TO packages, SIP, packages, DIP packages, PGA packages, Chip adaptors. In addition to these special parts E-tec, and E-tec Asia offer a comprehensive range of Interconnect Products including PCB Headers, Female connectors, Stackers, Mini-Mate connectors, IDC connectors, Flex cables, Crimp Connectors, D sub, USB cables, USB connectors, Cable assemblies, and a complete range of turned pin DIP sockets and Strips and BGA test sockets.
