The keynote addresses feature two household names in Dyson and Ocado Technology and will illustrate how vision technology has relevance to everyday life, such as domestic cleaning and


shopping. Dr Mike Aldred from Dyson will describe the design journey that brought the Dyson 360 Eye robot vacuum cleaner, which utilises images froma 360° Field Of View camera to locate itself within its environment, to market. Dr Graham Deacon will describe some of the work that his team at Ocado Technology has done using 3D point clou d cameras in order to pick and pack groceries with robots. Dr. Aldred’s presentation will open the morning session of the Machine Vision Conference at 10am, and Dr. Deacon will begin the afternoon session at 1.30pm .
