The built-in alignment indicator system located at the base of both the emitter and receiver of each light curtain contains a single digit numeric display and coloured indicator to assist alignm ent. The primar y function of the display is to informthe operator of the alignment status between the emitter and receiver by indicating the strength of the received beamwith a numeric value between one and three (with three indicating optimal alignment). The SF4D Series offers three cables types that reflect the complexity of the safety light curtain set up:
• 5-core cable with optical
synchronisation: this is the minimal wiring solution and utilises optical
synchronisation offering two x OSSD O/P and a Test I/P.
• 8-core cable with Line
synchronisation: this offers additional wiring options including Interlock and aux O/P.
• 12-core cable with full function line synchronisation: additional features to eight core operation include muting function, override and colour control of LED indicators.

NEMA Type 13 (NEMA 250) protection rating means SF4D products are able to operate in areas where liquids and coolants are present with maximum reliability. In addition, using technology from the Panasonic fibre optic based sensors, the high power optical system allows the operation range of the SF4D to be increased to 15m with minimal light deviation along the beam axis.
