Limescale prevention is a sweet deal for food manufacturer

Modular draught system.

containment booth A

irbench has released a new modular booth designed for attachment to the VertEx cross-

Using the modular booth construction, a full environmental containment booth can be built rapidly from standard parts. The use of very high efficiency fans allows the complete booth installation to operate from low power supplies while achieving very high airflows. The booth shown in the above image is approximately 2.5m wide, 2.4m high, and 2.2m deep, and draws more than 20,000m3/h.

This impressive air

movement, and the associated booth lighting, all runs from a single 13a socket. The fully modular construction allows for any width of booth to be delivered using standard components and VertEx base units. The VertEx Booth is available with the full range of AirBench filters up to and including H12 HEPA filtration as required.

Fluke (U.K.) Ltd

forward-thinking global food manufacturer has realised enormous benefits through the adoption of a KalGUARD® limescale prevention water treatment system from Sentinel Commercial. The investment, which has been used to solve limescale issues previously affecting the batch sugar dissolution tank feed system at one of the manufacturer’s UK plants, has made a significant difference, avoiding unscheduled downtime, increasing component longevity and saving on production costs. In fact, results have been so impressive that the manufacturer has since installed two further KalGUARD units in order to treat all of the factory’s process water and mains water supplies. KalGUARD is a WRAS-approved electrolytic scale inhibitor device for commercial hot water systems, and represents an extremely low maintenance way (a twice annual service is all that is recommended) to protect facilities against the damaging and expensive impact of limescale.

Anti-Seize in a stick - LOCTITE® LB 8065 A

www.fluke.co.uk

general purpose lubricant, LOCTITE® LB 8065 from Henkel is an anti-seize in the convenient form of a stick for clean, fast and easy application. LOCTITE® Anti-Seize eases both assembly and disassembly of close fitting metal surfaces, such as interference fits and threaded joints, by reducing friction and wear on critical operating equipment. At the same time, torque – a consistent bolt tension – is also achieved by using anti-seize materials, even in performance extremes. They are formulated for use in harsh industrial conditions, including high temperatures, heavy loads, chemical environments, pounding and vibration. Typical applications for the semi-solid, copper-based LOCTITE® LB 8065 include original equipment and maintenance, including the automotive industry, and equipment associated with transportation, power plants and foundries. Indeed, anywhere there is a need to protect metal threaded connections.
