ENTRY LEVEL CASE ERECTING AND SEALING SYSTEMS WITH FAST ROI

Endoline Machinery will showcase its range of entry level systems in a bid to cater to the growing demand for automation with fast ROI, targeting food and FMCG manufacturers hit by the minimum wage hike. Over the past 12 months Endoline has

witnessed a 40% surge in enquiries for standard end of line systems from SMEs automating for the first time and multi- national food producers looking to automate slow running production lines.

As a direct result, the machinery

manufacturer now offers a range of entry level case erectors and sealers offering fast ROI. Endoline’s entry level range incorporates semi-automatic and fully automatic case erecting and sealing solutions. With an average case run of 18 cases per minute, each system delivers a flawless finish and is capable of operating 24/7. With an entry level Endoline system a

company should expect to see a return on their investment within 12 months. This was the case with SME Ramona Hazan who invested in an Endoline entry level case erector and case sealer: “It was initially scary to make the investment but at the same time important to make that plunge as I realised the efficiencies which could be gained. I am now in a position where I have doubled my capacity and anticipating a return on my investment within 12 months. Basically it comes down to simple arithmetic and for me it was a no brainer.” Visitors will be able to view machines

from Endoline’s entry level range and experts will be on hand to help calculate how quickly ROI could be achieved.

AUTOMATIC METAL INSPECTION SYSTEM

To assist food manufacturers safeguard brand reputation and uphold product integrity and consumer confidence Fortress is unveiling the latest version of its Halo automatic test technology. By reducing the frequency of manual testing manufacturers can save thousands of pounds a month. Halo 2 provides food suppliers with a

more robust, traceable and auditable testing procedure, satisfying the most demanding retailer Codes of Practice. It can be installed on Fortress throat,

pipeline and gravity metal detectors that inspect loose of free-falling products including rice, sauces, cereals, powders, corn, sugar and snack foods. Rather than manually testing a metal detector which on vertical inspection systems can be labour and time intensive and frequently challenging for operatives to access, the Halo system is an external test that automatically generates a signal calibrated to specified sphere sizes. The system checks the performance of the reject system with the latest version

COMPACT X-RAY INSPECTION UNIT

Loma Systems will display its X5c (compact) X-ray inspection unit. The exhibit will have an Ask the Expert theme with the company’s metal detection, checkweighing and X-ray technical specialists available to address questions pertinent to global food processors, manufacturers and packers. The streamlined X5c was developed in response to growing demand for a more cost effective yet highly functional X-ray solution. With retailers’ Codes of Practice increasingly specifying the use of X-ray, Loma’s X5c machine is primarily aimed at companies running multi-product, retail ready lines who are keen to make the switch to X-ray inspection technology for the first time. To comply with CFR21 part 11 Loma’s

X5c is multilevel password protected for improved data management allowing the system to log events against individual operators. Produced from brushed stainless steel it offers an ultra-hygienic design for easy cleaning and low maintenance and serviceability. A quick release belt can be removed

without tools and the tension eased for cleaning. The sloping surfaces prevent food particles and washdown droplets accumulating in crevices and reduce drying time. Suitable for the detection of glass, calcified bone, rubber, stone as well as ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel metal in various packaging, the X5c operates at line speeds up to 50 metres per minute and measures 1 metre in length. Capable of handling products up to 100mm (height) and 300mm (width) but weighing no more than 3kg, it is particularly useful for the inspection of ready meal lines.
