ADVERTORIAL LIGHTING & LIGHTING CONTROLS
The Vela Range G
reenBrook Electrical’s Vela range of LED Fire Rated Downlights has made a huge impact to the lighting market this year.
Available in Fixed, Tilt and the hugely popular Anti- glare options,
these
attractive and compact low profile fittings are offered in matt white with a choice of replaceable bezel colours.
With such an emphasis based on glare this year by the LIA we have found that sales of the Anti-Glare fitting have rocketed.
Rated IP65 and including a dimmable LED driver, these 9W fittings offer a 55 degree beam angle and a lumen output of 72lm/W.
The anti-glare option
offers a high light output whilst the matt black inner baffle reduces the glare. On all models, once installed, the bezel can easily be removed when decorating or just to change their colour without the need to remove the fitting.
Available now from all good wholesalers.

ADVERTORIAL PRODUCT FOCUS L
Cost-saving LED lighting solution from Scolmore
eading lighting and wiring accessories manufacturer, Scolmore Group, has added to its popular Inceptor range of integrated LED Downlights, with a
non-fire-rated version that provides contractors with a high-quality, cost- saving LED solution for lighting projects. The new Inceptor Pico Fixed Integrated LED Downlight is being positioned as the ideal alternative for those applications where there isn’t the requirement for a fire-rated fitting and therefore, no need to incur the additional expense that a fire-rated model commands. With contractors keen to keep overall costs of a project as cost-effective as possible, but without compromising on quality and performance, Inceptor Pico ticks all the right boxes, producing an excellent light output for the power utilised. It incorporates SMD LED technology, which produces high reliability performance and utilises very little power. With an energy rating of A+ and an L70 LED lifetime of 20,000 hours, the Inceptor Pico requires zero maintenance and offers low energy consumption for the lifetime of the product. Available in a dimmable option as standard, the Pico can be easily switched or dimmed utilising a variety of methods. It is suitable for use with Scolmore’s range of iNELS wireless automation products.

he ShieldBuddy TC275 is currently the world’s smallest AURIX development board. It is fitted with the Infineon TC275 32-bit multicore processor on a board following the Arduino™ standard making it compatible with many of the application shields that are available. Evaluation licenses for a complete set of development tools are available which makes this kit ideal for getting started on a high end real time embedded industrial or automotive application as well as for students and hobbyists. Most Arduino-style boards use AVR or ARM/Cortex processors which are fine for basic messing about with micros - these chips are everywhere in consumer gadgets and devices. The ShieldBuddy is different, having the mighty Infineon Aurix TC275 processor. These are normally only to be found in state of the art engine management systems, ABS systems and industrial motor drives in your favourite German automobile. They rarely make it out into the daylight of the normal hobbyist/maker world and to date have only been known to a select few at Bosch, BMW, Audi, Daimler-Benz etc. The standard Arduino IDE can be used, provided that the ShieldBuddy add-in has been installed. Programs can then be written in exactly the same way as on an ordinary Arduino.
