Milton Keynes College has been providing offender learning and services to prisons in the UK for over 20 years, providing high-quality education and training. Established in 1984, Milton Keynes is proud to be an accessible college with a strong reputation for providing high-quality education to learners of all levels. College staff deliver education at a range of establishments including A-D category and high security prisons, young offenders institutions, the female estate and open prisons in both the public and private sectors.

The Mountbatten Institute is the only organisation providing graduates with the opportunity to gain unrivalled work experience at the world’s top employers in New York City. Participants of the New York Programme spend one year living, working and studying in one of the world’s most challenging corporate cultures, arming themselves with the skills necessary to top an increasingly competitive labour market.

Around 250 graduates per year work at over 40 companies including JP Morgan, Blackrock, Barclays, HSBC, Credit Suisse, Thomson Reuters, British Airways and Citi. Roles are available in marketing and communications, banking and finance, legal and compliance, human resources, and business operations.

Trainees also study toward one of three part-time courses, gaining an MBA, Masters or Postgraduate Certificate in International Business.

The National Engineering & Construction Recruitment Exhibitions are the largest engineering and construction recruitment events of their kind in the UK.

The next exhibition takes place on 25 & 26 November at the NEC, Birmingham. This free exhibition will include a range of companies looking for engineering graduates. In addition there are a range of visitor features including a Careers Advice Lounge, CV Clinic, Interview Clinic and a Professional Development Hub, where you can meet representatives from the Engineering Council and key professional engineering institutions for advice on how they can help your career development.

Take on the engineering challenge! Teams from universities across the UK are invited to compete against each other to design, build and test their own inventions for the chance to win up to £500! To enter, sign up on our stand (see relevant stand number below) or send an email to necr@vmgl.com

The railway is vital to Britain’s future economic success. That is why Network Rail manages more engineering projects and employs more specialists than any other UK organisation. Our work programme for the next five years will have major benefits for the whole country.

Our award-winning architectural developments are helping to regenerate towns and businesses, and we are connecting communities with new train lines. We are adding these to the 15,795 kilometres of rail, 2,515 stations, 32,000 viaducts, bridges and tunnels and 9,000 level crossings that we already look after.

One of the UK’s leading general insurance and financial services companies, NFU Mutual has been meeting our customers’ needs for over 100 years. Our employees are important to us. We empower and inspire them to perform, offer opportunities to grow and we recognise and reward their contribution. They are proud to work for a company that respects them and broader communities, trusting us to be financially sustainable.

We have designed our trainee scheme to equip graduates with all the skills, experience and opportunities that they need to flourish. We will get you involved in various areas of the business. Different placements mean different perspectives of our business, different skills and knowledge to be gained, different opportunities to be explored. As well as on-the-job learning we will sponsor and support you to complete professional qualifications. Everyone on the scheme takes the Certificate in Insurance qualification. Then you will progress onto a professional qualification specific to the area of the business that you are working in.

The NIHR/Wellcome Trust Imperial Clinical Research Facility is a partnership between Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Imperial College London. In the Imperial CRF we conduct phase I/II research studies and clinical trials. The purpose-built facility was partly funded by a £6.2million capital award from the Wellcome Trust and occupies the ground floor of the new £71million Imperial Centre for translational and experimental medicine.

The ICRF provides a variety of studies such as dietary, brain scan and vaccine studies, that you could take part in. Taking part in any study is completely voluntary and therefore you can leave at any time. However, it would be advisable to discuss your decision with the study doctor first, to ensure your safety after withdrawing from the designated treatment.

Nottingham Trent University delivers education and research that will enable you to advance your career in an environment that fosters ambition, progress, innovation and leadership. The strength of our profile is largely based on our reputation for teaching and research activities that are relevant to the real world and that boost the career prospects of all our students, giving us one of the best and most consistent graduate employability ratings in the country. Our links with business, industry and the professional world form an extensive global network and ensure the relevance of our courses.

Subject areas include: animal, rural and environmental sciences; architecture, design and the built environment; art and design; arts and humanities; business; education; law; science and technology and social sciences. Qualifications available are postgraduate and professional certificates, diplomas, masters and research degrees. A number of programmes are offered on both a full-time and part-time basis, while others have block release and distance learning options to maximise your choice.
