We offer three different routes into teaching; school direct, school direct salaried and SCITT in Primary and all Secondary subjects. We are associated with Birmingham City University and award both PGCE qualifi cations and Qualifi ed Teacher Status. We have 100% ‘good’ or ‘outstanding’ outcomes and 100% of trainees have achieved employment. We were graded ‘good’ at our most recent Ofsted for Initial Teacher Training and ‘outstanding’ for leadership and management
This is a school-led training programme that allows trainees to train and work at all times within a school environment. As a national teaching school we have a commitment to training the next generation of teachers through exposing trainees to best practice across our alliance of secondary schools. Also with a pupil referral unit and special school within the alliance trainees will have the opportunity if they choose, to train in organisations outside mainstream education.
