Mark Soyka’s latest restaurant ticks off all the boxes of a spectacular date spot: It’s dark, hidden and steeped in history. It also has all bases covered with a menu full of vegan and vegetarian options, as well as grass-fed beef dishes. YOUR MOVE: Take advantage of the wide- ranging beer list as a way to jump-start the conversation. Café Roval serves craft beers from cities around the country as well as locally made brews like Wynwood Brewery’s La Rubia, so there’ll be plenty to discuss. Plus, the brews pair perfectly with an order of the seasonal oysters. HOT SEAT: There is a small reservoir in the back of the restaurant left over from its past life as a city pump house.
