The Intermediate team from Cecil County of Holly Adams (North East), Angela Edelson (Landenberg, PA), Viv- ian Miller (Perryville), Natalie Holdren (Middletown, DE), coach Mary Crabbe and coach Maureen Edelson placed third in Maryland out of 18 other teams at the 4-H Horse Bowl. Allena Crabbe (Rising Sun) was put on a Scramble team of miscellaneous Intermediates from throughout Maryland. Allena’s team placed fourth and individually, she placed seventh while Vivian placed third in a fi eld of 76 contestants.


Burntwoods pony clubbers Anna Santacroce, Kate Benjamin, James Power and Kensington Hand at- tended the Virginia Region’s “Horseless Rally.”


Former Marylander Daphne Soares snapped this photo of her son Tzur and his pony while he was home on a sick day.


Lou Steinfort headed down to South Carolina to compete in the Aiken Horse Show in the Woods aboard Betty Alexander’s Good Friday Wyatt and won the award for Best Vintage Costume.


Sally Shirley rode Sharon Dawson’s Summer Reign and her own Copelan’s Prayer in the local winter series at Swan Lake to earn champion ribbons on both horses.

The Senior team from Cecil County, made up of Gavra Goldie (Lincoln University, PA), Hannah Kirk (Rising Sun), Brynn Lasala (North East), and Sadie Kalman (Lewisville, PA), placed second in the Maryland 4-H Horse Bowl. Hannah placed fi fth individually and Gavra placed fourth. Both girls qualifi ed to compete on the State team at the National 4H Horse Bowl Competition and the All American Quarter Horse Congress Horse Bowl Competition later this year.
