MUSEUMS 2016 THE GUIDE MUSEUMS 2016 THE GUIDE

The museum culture in France is second-to-none. London and New York can both be rightly proud of their contributions but there is nowhere quite like Paris if you want to see the world’s best art. This is partly thanks to having such a glorious history of producing great artists, partly thanks to clever acquisitions at opportune moment, partly thanks to the tradition of each President inaugurating a new museum in Paris during their time in charge. In the provinces too there is much to see, with weird and wonderful exhibitions all over the Hexagon.
