The Low Carbon Energy Company of Burnley is working with Vital Energi of Blackburn to reduce the carbon footprint of NHS hospital sites through the installation of Solar PV.
Vital Energi has been designing and installing energy efficient heat and power systems and consumption reduction solutions for NHS Trusts around the UK.
The Low Carbon Energy team is contributing specialist expertise to minimise the cost and disruption of installation on some challenging sites. The work will see the NHS harness 1,700,000 KWh of clean electricity a year, saving over 560 tonnes of carbon per year.
