What makes your salon different to others? Our name for a start. Picked from a Kylie album due to its quirky name but real hidden meaning – “Spend time with you my koocachoo”.
We use high end brands at a competitive price, offering a wide range of beauty and nail services including sunbeds. Open seven days a week and until 9pm Monday – Friday offering plenty of availability to suit the needs of our clients’ busy lives. We strive for World Class Customer Service which won a Client Experience Award from Phorest.
Koocachoo is listed as a five Star Salon on the Good Salon Guide. Koocachoo has built a fantastic rapport with local businesses and support local events and initiatives. Most recently winning the Cavalcade of light for best in Cavalcade.
Which services do you offer? Gels, Waxing, Acrylics, Nail Art, Male Waxing, Facials, Spray Tans, Massages, My Brow, Lash Extensions, Mud & Thermal Therapy, tinting and Dermalogica. We are in the process of bringing in a wonderful spa range, where we will then offer whole range of spa like treatments and will stock a full retail range to support.
What is your top beauty tip? Smile often, we are most beautiful when we smile.
What is the latest beauty trend you’re noticing? Nail rehab - recognition for damaged nails due to popularity of gels and acrylics.
What is your favourite aspect of your salon? Our clients – spending time with our clients, understanding their needs and delivering life enhancing services to make them smile inside and out.
Which celebrity always has the perfect nails? JLO who has regular manicures by the amazing Tom Bachik.
What do you admire in the beauty industry? The opportunity to connect with people from all around the world, diversity of beauty and the many benefits it brings to people’s lives.
What are your favourite Louella Belle products and why? We are pleased to use the latest product from Louella Belle - Artistic Colour Revolution. This is a great upsell product from a normal polish, with a similar feel to a gel, this product not only cures in natural light but is dry and good to go in just 8 minutes. Perfect for those who forget to bring flip flop with them to their pedicure and don’t have gels, or are just in a rush and can’t wait for a polish to dry. This product is also perfect to sell to those clients heading away this summer season who have had gels done, as they are a perfect colour match to Artistic Colour Gloss Gel. Now our clients have no need to worry if they chip their nails whist bathing in the sun somewhere hot.
If you weren’t running your own salon what would you be doing? Running the husband’s salon! Luckily he lets me run this one with him.
