Finding and correcting those vision problems requires a comprehensive eye exam by a doctor of optometry.
Vision screenings miss 63% or more of children who should be referred to a doctor of optometry (OD) to correct a vision problem that may adversely affect learning.
All children should be visually fit, visually healthy and ready to learn! Every child in America should have an eye exam soon after 6 months of age and especially within two years (age 3-5 years) preceding the start of first grade.
For a one-time, no-cost eye assessment for infants 6 – 12 months old, visit
infantsee.org to find a participating doctor of optometry today, and
aoa.org to find a doctor of optometry for your entire family, at every stage of life.
InfantSEE® is a public health program from Optometry Cares®-The AOA Foundation and is supported by Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc., The Allergan Foundation, OptiCare and the Centene Charitable Foundation, and CareCredit, a part of GE Capital.
