WHO? Banque Palatine WHAT? Surecomp’s Allnett trade finance system

Paris-based Banque Palatine, a subsidiary of the BPCE Group and one of the oldest French banks still in operation, is rolling out a new trade finance system. Being implemented is Allnett, a

Java J2E-based front office system from Surecomp.

Allnett is described as ‘a 24×7

multi-customer, multi-entity solution that makes the corporate processing of letters of credit (LCs) more efficient by eliminating all manual activities previously associated with such transactions’. The new front-end will be connected

to the bank’s core banking system, SAB AT, supplied by French vendor SAB. Palatine Bank focuses on the retail

and SME sector, private banking and asset management.

Tanya Andreasyan WHO? Banco Santander Australia WHAT? Wolters Kluwer’s OneSumX

Banco Santander has selected Wolters Klu- wer’s OneSumX solution for its Australian operations’ regulatory reporting. OneSumX will be used by the Spanish

bank to automate external reporting gen- eration and to help deal with increasing Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) reporting requirements.

The bank opened its first branch in

Sydney in early 2012, to offer services to Australian companies that trade and invest in Santander’s home markets of Europe and Latin America. OneSumX was also chosen to keep the

Banco Santander Australian operations in line with the latest regulatory standards,

something that the ‘small team’ at Ban- co Santander Australia needed assistance with.

Chris Puype, managing director of Asia

Pacific for Wolters Kluwer, says the deal highlights the firm’s deep commitment to the Australian market.
