different pace, sometimes happily and productively and sometimes discouragingly slowly. Sadly there are also patients who will not be able to recover at all, but as treat- ment modalities and our understanding of eating disorders improves, hopefully this number will decrease. As you progress in your work with individuals with eat-
ing disorders, you will undoubtedly have many satisfying experiences, and, more than likely, you will have some dis- couraging ones as well. In the best case scenario, you will eventually be able to document that your initial nutrition diagnoses have been resolved and your patients’ nutrition goals have been achieved.
