Church News
Grunthal EMB Church Grunthal, Manitoba Pastor Jared Fast Sunday School children and youth
teamed up with our international students from Providence College and Seminary to present a Christmas Eve worship (see photo below). Te youth asked our international students to explain some unique Christmas traditions from their home countries. God has blessed our fellowship with a large group of international students. Pastor Jared challenged the congregation
to start fresh in 2017 by committing to a Bible reading program for this year. Watch for a report next year as to how our congregation did in this challenge! More importantly, we want to measure how we as individuals have grown in our faith in Christ. We are supporting Cynda Kayoci from
Indonesia as an international student at Providence College and Seminary. A lunch encouraged people to give toward this need. Marilyn D. Tiessen, Correspondent
Faith Evangelical Bible Church Henderson, Nebraska Michael Fink, Pastor To celebrate Christ’s birth, our children
presented “Jesus Means Christmas to Me,” on Dec. 18. We gathered for a candlelight service on Christmas Eve. And then for an informal family worship service Sunday morning. We were welcomed to the fellowship hall with coffee, hot chocolate and Christmas cookies, then gathered around the Christmas tree to sing carols. Pastor Mike provided a special story for children as well as a message titled “Te First Christmas Concert.” “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” was the
title of the message FEBC President Blaine Donaldson presented on Jan. 29. Women are learning about “Te Armor
of God” from a video study by Priscilla Shirer and discussion led by Jan Fink. A central theme in the series is the importance of prayer in activating the armor given in Ephesians 6.

Christian Fellowship Chapel Winnipeg, Manitoba John Harwood, Pastor Once again our congregation participated
in the 365 Prayer Watch. Tis is a ministry of various Winnipeg churches who band to- gether in the pledge that our Police Force will be continually covered with prayer. A church signs up for one week of the year. Reaching the least, the last and the lost;
this is the desire of Union Gospel Mission, a rescue mission in Winnipeg’s North End. Each week day, pre-meal services are conduct- ed by volunteer evangelical Christians. Our church has been participating in this ministry for well over 30 years, bringing a service once a month on the third Tursday. We bring mu- sic, songs, testimonies, devotionals, even art to share our lives and the gospel with the needy from off the streets of Winnipeg who come for a meal. Some of these listen, some appear
not to, however we trust in God’s power, and we are blessed to be a part of this ministry. Linda Edwards, Correspondent
