THE NI Travel News trade team joined Jet2holidays when they took 350 of the UK’s top performing Independent Travel Agents to the 3HB Guarana in Portugal for the operator’s eigth annual VIP conference. The theme this year was based around the famous motto ‘Who Dares Wins’. Jet2 urged agents to have the courage and audacity to confront challenges in order to succeed. To bring this to life, former SAS soldier and star of SAS Who Dares Wins, Colin MacLachlan, delivered a motivational talk about facing up to your fears and taking on challenges to make things happen.


A packed agenda of presentations and Q&A sessions was designed to equip agents with all the knowledge and skills they need to look ahead with a positive mindset and translate this into sales as demand for holidays continues.


Jet2 also announced the launch of their new Express Transfers service. The announcement was made by Jet2holidays’ Zoe Towers. As well as giving customers the best start to their holiday by getting them to their hotel faster, the brand-new service also means customers will be one of the final three pick ups on their departure transfer back to the airport at the end of their holiday. The Conference was topped with an amazing


awards show where five Northern Irish travel agents took home awards. JF Travel won Top Retail Seller of Jet2holiday’s Out of Belfast International Airport, Clubworld Travel Newry won Top Vibe Retail Store, L&J World Travel won the award for Top Jet2holidays’ Non- Retail Vibe seller, Oasis Travel, Lisburn won Top seller of Jet2holidays’ 3HB hotels and Clubworld Travel won Top Jet2holidays seller as Part of a Chain in NI.
