MEHLING & WIESMANN Family-run sawmill and veneer producer

Mehling & Wiesmann specialise in finishes for indigenous types of wood. They presented two premieres at interzum this year: the ‘Silver Edition’ in response to the growing demand for sun-scorched, silver-grey, weathered wood, and the new brand TrüffelBUCHE – a truffle- treated beech wood which the wonders of nature have gifted with its own very unique veneer.


FORMICA After extensive research and


development in manufacture and design, Formica launched a completely


refreshed portfolio at interzum this year, which included 113 new decors, all FSC certified as standard. Formica continues to innovate in decorative laminates and ensures that sustainability remains a key consideration in its development.


PFLEIDERER Wood-based materials manufacturer Pfleiderer introduced new structures and decor elements to interzum visitors this year. 20 new designs were introduced including ‘Materia’ and the award-winning ‘Meandra’.


SCHATTDECOR interzum was a complete success for Schattdecor. The company presented a bold design


for its booth and included a variety of new features celebrating its 30th anniversary of exhibiting at the show. Following the introduction of Smartfoil Evo as a new product at the SICAM 2014, Schattdecor presented more than 10 decorative variations of the surface effect at interzum 2015. The Proflex Floor was introduced as well - a developmental product consisting of an elastic composite used in the production of multi-layer, modular floors. Company head, Reiner Schulz, said the company will continue to focus on expansion and developing new product lines.


EGGER Egger presented both new designs and many firsts in the field of surfaces under the motto ‘Perspectives’. Everything was orientated around innovative, highly refined surfaces and materials which allow the perfect combination of visual and tactile effects. More premieres featured this year too, including the newly developed Halifax Eiche tabak with its synchronous pore finish in an oak look.


SENOSAN Senosan GmbH is a company within


the Klepsch Group. The company produces and markets high-grade co-extruded and scratch resistant plastic films under the trade name of senosan® for thermoforming applications in the furniture and door industries. At interzum 2015 senosan® launched a range of new lacquered acrylic laminates in high-gloss and super matt as well as in a durable, abrasion-resistant glass version. interzum attracted many international guests to its booth, in particular many visitors from the UK and Turkey as well from India.


KURT LAUTENSCHLAGER Kurt Lautenschlager premiered the European market with his collection of Meganite surfaces. The solid surface material Meganite has been very popular in the USA for 15 years and has now been launched in Europe with a standard collection of 60 decors.


FRANZ KOLAR


Franz Kolar has just introduced new solid wood furniture supply parts in response to wood


becoming increasingly on trend for highlighting accents. In addition, two acoustic products, the Dukta-Akustik-Holzplatte (wooden dukta acoustic panel) and the Stepwood-Akustik- 3D-Platte (Stepwood 3D acoustic panel) were featured, combining nature, design and function.


EUROPLAC A range of new products from


Europlac, based on historic old woods, represented the trend for rustic-style naturalness at this year’s show. In addition, the premiering of ‘Wood Couture’ - fashion from rustic-style wood - was certainly a highlight.


RESOPAL Impress showcase their new ranges at interzum 2015


IMPRESS Impress launched unique surface finish foils with the haptic


feel of innovative lacquered surfaces. It is the perfect reproduction of nature combined with a high print quality and finish for various applications in volume productions.


The open-plan stand showcasing the new trend collection of ‘Essential Large Oak’ as a non- repeating oak covering for large areas and the wet-room design options attracted a steady stream of visitors to the Respoal stand at interzum this year.
