Twenty-four winners were crowned at The British Book Industry Awards 2016, which took place at Grosvenor House on Park Lane in central London on Monday evening. The proceedings were compèred by broadcaster Mariella Frostrup. More pictures from the night can be found overleaf
Bookshop Manager of the Year was given to Jonny Green from Waterstones Piccadilly
Mariana Mouzinho of Blackwell’s accepted the award for Young Retailer of the Year
Tina Persaud of Pavilion Books won Editor of the Year
Pan Macmillan’s Michele Young won Rights Professional of the Year
Literary Agent of the Year Lizzy Kremer of David Higham Associates centre with author Laura Barnett left and awards host Mariella Frostrup
Author James Patterson accepted the BA Outstanding Contribution to the Book Trade award
Author Liane Moriarty left presented Sam Voulters, brand director for Penguin Classics, with the Marketing Strategy of the Year award for Little Black Classics
Transworld’s Alison Barrow won Publicity Campaign of the Year for her work on The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
