THIS JULY, AVIATION SPECIALTIES UNLIMITED (ASU) CELEBRATED 20 YEARS IN BUSINESS. DURING THAT TIME THE BOISE, IDAHO, COMPANY HAS SOLD MORE THAN 20,000 NIGHT VISION GOGGLES, PERFORMED MORE THAN 900 AIRCRAFT COCKPIT MODIFICATIONS, AND TRAINED MORE THAN 5,900 PILOTS AND CREW MEMBERS. YET, THE CELEBRATION WAS ABOUT MUCH MORE THAN APPRECIATING THE PAST. IT WAS ALSO ABOUT PREPARING THE COMPANY FOR THE FUTURE, WHICH IT DID BY CUTTING THE RIBBON ON A NEW 39,000-SQUARE-FOOT HEADQUARTERS THAT INCLUDES 29,000 SQUARE FEET OF HANGAR SPACE AND 17,000 SQUARE FEET OF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES.
