Preventing and managing pressure ulcers

Recent additions to the Talley range of pressure area care support surfaces will be displayed at the show. The FUSION Hybrid and Response ranges have ben developed to prevent and manage pressure ulcers. The FUSION Hybrid provides flexible pressure area care in any care setting. It offers either reactive or active therapy and allows practitioners to immediately step patients up or down, in-line with their clinical needs. Eliminating delays in support surface provision increases efficiency and releases nursing time back to care.

The ability to move power units between mattresses provides a cost- effective solution to help optimise pressure area care budgets while meeting the changing clinical needs of the patient. The FUSION Response offers responsive pressure area care in any care setting. It is a non-powered, foam and air hybrid mattress that automatically responds to the patient to provide a reactive, constant low-pressure support surface for basic pressure area care needs. Rocialle will be exhibiting surgical procedure packs, medical packs and single-use instruments. The packs each contain everything required for a surgical or medical procedure, in one sterile package. As well as improving efficiency when preparing for a procedure, the packs also simplify order administration and stock control. Importantly, the packs have also been proven to improve compliance with best practice. They ensure that the correct items are immediately to hand for a procedure. The company has recently won a national contract for the supply of a cannulation pack which a study has demonstrated improves compliance, including handwashing and glove wearing, tourniquet use and completion of documentation. Rocialle’s latest pack, developed with an

NHS Trust, is SepsisBox which enables the quick and consistent treatment of patients with suspected sepsis. Visit: Hall 16, Stand F42
