It delivered higher rates of detection in all genotypes in particular, non-HPV 16 cases compared to colposcopy alone. If ZedScan was rolled out across the UK, this would lead to an additional 10,000 women being detected with HG CIN. The device is now used in many hospitals across the globe as an adjunct to the current diagnostic process to offer a more accurate diagnosis in real time.
